"When those in charge of "fixing" problems are incentivized to keep things broken, there isn't much hope for the future. This scheme is known as "Divide & Conquer." The issue is that the billionaires who control the nation's wealth and power, making all the crucial decisions, have no incentive to resolve any problems. Instead, they try to convince us that those with the least power are the ones causing all the issues.

Billionaires cause scarcity, so you blame others for scarcity. Billionaires are the primary drivers of debt, globalism, immigration, corruption, and inflation, yet they manage to persuade poorer people on one side to blame poorer people on the other side. Inflammatory rhetoric about immigration and DEI distract attention away from the billionaires who contribute to the growing disparity.

To billionaires, market value is their only priority. Your family's well-being, health, aspirations, hopes, and dreams mean nothing to them. Blaming DEI and immigration for America's problems will not bring about solutions. Food prices will not decrease, home prices will remain artificially high, the healthcare system will continue to be inadequate, and infrastructure will still deteriorate.

Great leaders lift people up. They ensure that people have the support and tools needed to succeed, never making excuses or blaming others. Great leaders earn trust through empathy, logic, and authenticity. They take responsibility, lead by example, and inspire greatness." ~New Frontier

"I suspect the major underlying reason why many 'won't listen' regarding the issue of Climate Change is that it's become fairly obvious that we cannot change its course, that it is basically a natural temperature cycle that we have seriously revved up via a massive input of the toxic byproducts of Industrial Civilization, that it is now beyond amelioration and that likely the best we can do at this point is simply 'ride it out'.

I'm sure we'll survive as a species. We are like f'ing cockroaches in that regard. But the next x-number of generations are looking at a Grim Passage and the various Ways of Life we have now are going to get badly mangled and in many cases plain wiped out.

That is, to say the least, a Tough Sell and Denial is so much easier, especially when many personally think they don't have to worry a future will only get here after they're dead. [But life is full of little surprises, isn't it?]

On the Up Side, maybe this will finally re-wire us to deal with Long Term Existential Threats. We're essentially still "See Tiger/Run Now" in our basic instincts and all Scarlett O'Hara ["I'll think about it tomorrow."] when it comes to things like say asteroid strikes."

“Trump's grandfather is a World War One German draft dodger. He ran away to America. After the war he tried to return to Germany, but they didn’t want him back. So he ended back in U.S. of A, illegally, but nobody made a big deal about illegal immigration back then. This is why Trump has avoided claiming his German blood to this day. Trump's grandmother came to America from Scotland on a visitors pass, and never left, so she too was here illegally. And yes, we did have Immigration Laws by her time.”
